The Khabele School is a small, holistic, private middle and high school in downtown Austin. Located beneath ancient live oak trees, the school occupies two large Victorian era houses and several smaller buildings. In need of a multi-purpose room, the school rented a strip center office two blocks away. The transformation of this space required a total demolition of the existing offices and new construction of a large studio for dance, martial arts and large school meetings. Accessory office, storage and restrooms were designed to support the space.
